About James  Farthing

This is my eighth year teaching in the Kittitas School District. I previously taught in La Conner, Washington. Over the course of my career I have instructed a variety of subjects and grade levels, from kindergarten PE to grade 12 Contemporary World Problems. Most of my time, however, has been happily spent in the middle school grades teaching English, US History and various elective subjects. I am married and have two wonderful children. There is no place I would rather be than living here in the Kittitas Valley, teaching in this school. I am living the American dream.

Mission Statement

My mission is simple: I wish to be part of a team of mentors - teachers, parents, grandparents, coaches and community members alike - who will aid our Kittitas youth in preparing for their successful futures. If, in adulthood, our students live personally-fulfilling lives, no matter what level of education or career status they achieve, what more can we ask?
