About Shileah  Heistand

Hello, I attended Washington State University where I studied photography and graduated in May 2005. I then went to Central Washington University to obtain a teaching certificate in art. I studied under Carolyn Johnson for a year and then was able to get the teaching job at Kittitas. This will be my second year as the art teacher and my third year working with the yearbook. I am very excited! Go Coyotes!

Mission Statement

I want to students to understand that there is more to art than just having the skill to create art. Students will begin to understand that art is all around us. It affects our lives in more ways than we are aware. I try to make my classes fun while students learn about the amazing world of art.
