About D'Ann  Byers

I grew up in Ellensburg. I graduated high school in 1989 and went to CWU earning a Bachelors in Education in 1993. In 1995, I earned a Master's Degree in Education from Heritage University. I taught in Toppenish from 1993-2002 in grades 1-4. Thankfully in 2003, I got the Kindergarten teaching job in Kittitas. I enjoyed Kindergarten for 3 years and have moved to 2nd grade for my 3rd year now. I have 2 boys: Dylan (10) and Dawson (7). We enjoy biking, hiking, playing games, going to the beach, playing with our dogs, and taking family trips.

Mission Statement

My mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn. I encourage teamwork and cooperation with others as being vital for all to learn. I believe each child will reach whatever goal they set and grow from overcoming obstacles along the way. It's okay to make mistakes and we use them as stepping stones to continue academic growth.
