About Janielle Paul
I attended Central Washington University where I received my teaching degree in 1991. I spent several years substitute teaching in order to be home part time raising my children. I taught special education at the Kittitas School District for eight years. Last year was my first year at the kindergarten level and I loved it! There is nothing more rewarding than the enthusiasm of Kindergarten students! They are curious and ready to learn.
My husband Rod and I have a son, Jake, who just graduated from Kittitas High School, and a daughter, Jordan, who is 16. We were both raised in this wonderful valley and wanted our children to experience the same small school and community atmosphere that we both enjoy.
I spend much of my spare time attending my children’s sporting events and other extra curricular activities. I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my family. If I am not in the bleachers cheering on the local sport teams, you can find me boating, fishing, taking the dogs for a swim, or just relaxing with a good book.
Mission Statement
My mission is to provide a safe and caring environment for children to interact with and learn from each other. I will treat all students with compassion, and give students opportunities to learn to treat others the same way. Children learn differently and I believe it is important to provide a variety of learning activities that meet differing learning styles in order to help all children grow and be successful learners. I want my students to leave kindergarten with the curiosity to ask questions and the self-confidence to take risks and seek the answers.
