About Reena Calahan
My name is Reena Calahan. I was raised in the lower Yakima valley in Zillah, Washington. I graduated high school in 1986. (No laughing please). I graduated with my teaching degree (Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education)from CWU in 1999. I received my masters degree in 2004 from Walden University.
I have taught in the Kittitas School District for the past nine years, teaching in fourth grade, kindergarten, and now third grade.
My husband and I moved here 16 years ago. He used to teach at Kittitas High School, teaching wood shop and drivers ed. Now he is a professor at CWU. We have three beautiful daughters; Samantha is a senior this year, Sareena is a sophomore, and Somer is in the sixth grade. We stay very busy going to watch them all play in various sporting events.
I love the Kittitas School District and enjoy teaching very much.
