About Mr.  Smith

Five years ago I came to Kittitas for the first time, but I began teaching high school students in 1984. About six years ago I decided to teach full time and began looking for just the right place. This is the right place. Thank you to everyone here who makes our school a great place to learn.

Mission Statement

If you intend to get what you want in life, then you will learn to communicate well. English is one of the places where that change takes place and we prepare to navigate the passages that lie ahead of us. I say 'we' because I learn things daily from students, staff, teachers, family and friends. And from movies. If you haven't seen the movie "School of Life", Mr. D is a history teacher in the film who coins the phrase, 'How much time do we have?...not much.' He's right. Every day passes all too quickly. Thank you to everyone who makes me, and those around me, feel that time is passing far too quickly.
